About Larry The Writer
Larry entered the world in the nation-state of Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island. Neither athletic nor musical, he embraced the power of Big Words easily, the harder-to-pronounce the better. His literary deities include John Steinbeck, Andrew Holleran, and ‘The Two Docters’: Asimov and Suess, with a little Ogden Nash on the side. He feels blessed that the Universe granted his two life wishes: to live in both Manhattan and in California, where he now resides.
It’s been said that advertising will call on every experience and everything you’ve learned in your entire life, and Larry’s experienced plenty. His strength as a marketer comes from a huge range of professional pursuits, including 8 years in teaching, and 15 years as owner and president of Greenfield Fitness, concurrent with 20 years in advertising and marketing for major agencies and freelance clients.
His current marketing activities include strategic brand consulting, client interviewing, blog and article, writing, video, ads, websites, and really lovely notes and letters when someone needs something said right.
Outside of work, Larry is an avid builder, cyclist, climber, and lifter, always on the lookout for new bike trails and challenges of every kind.
