Does sitting under bigger trees inspire bigger thoughts?
Larry entered the world in the nation-state of Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island. College in Albany, NY, 12 years in Manhattan, two years in Atlanta, and 30 years in LA. Then, as part of no life plan or bucket list item, he suddenly relocated to California’s North Coast, behind the Redwood Curtain, to the throbbing metropolis of Eureka. If you are not familiar with it, it’s definitely worth a Google. If you’ve seen Leo DiCaprio on the run in One Battle After Another or the Ewoks frolicing on the Forest Moon of Endor, you already know the neighborhood.
It’s been said that advertising will call on every experience and everything you’ve learned in your entire life, and Larry’s experienced plenty. His strength as a writer and marketer comes from a huge range of professional pursuits, including eight years in teaching, and 20 years as owner and president of Greenfield Fitness, concurrent with more than 20 years in advertising and marketing for major agencies and freelance clients. His most recent work has been with the digital group VSSL Agency and software firm Altium, both in San Diego, Calif., and with Renesas Electronics, a semiconductor solutions provider headquartered in Tokyo.
His work for these clients includes strategic brand consulting, client interviewing, blog and article writing, videos, ads, websites, social content, corporate communications, and general editing for senior leaders.
Outside of work, Larry is an avid cyclist and weightlifter, and a follower of weather and climate. He is always on the lookout for new bike trails and challenges of every kind.
